Students are encouraged to read as many books as they can. Three books is the minimum requirement. Students will vote for their favorite book February 26th. Students will nominate books for the following year in March.
The students will also participate in our virtual book club at www.classblogmeister.com
In addition to keeping track of their connections, questions, visualizations and inferences; students will journal their thoughts. The students are expected to answer the following questions on the blog. Explain how the characters dealt with conflict and solved problems.
Select your favorite part of the book and support your reasons for choosing this part of the book.
This classroom blog is transforming the level of technology. Students are no longer writing a response for only the teacher to read. They are writing for a larger audience, their classmates. This interaction of reading classmates’ book responses and writing responses to that classmate would not be possible without technology.
